Lorelle has more than a decade of experience teaching students around the globe - in New Zealand, Australia, and during her time in Spain. She has taught all ages and all levels, from beginner to advanced, and can adapt to each individual student's needs and desires at the instrument.
"Where words fail, music speaks."
- Hans Christian Andersen
Lorelle believes that one of the most important things for her students is to develop and maintain a desire to learn and to explore at the piano, finding a means of expressing themselves and communicating with others through music. She has spent the past year working in Hawke's Bay with Project Prima Volta (PPV) and PPVLab students, helping to enable these rangatahi to find their voices and identities through music.
Lorelle's teaching studio is located in Manurewa, Auckland, where she offers lessons in piano (including aural training) and music theory. With her strong foundation of musical training, Lorelle can offer guidance on how to develop a solid piano technique, produce a wide palette of colours at the instrument, and explore a range of repertoire suitable to each student, all whilst keeping them engaged and having fun in the process.
Lorelle also has limited availability to teach at the student's home, if desired.
